Her former profession as a teacher was interrupted in 2005 when Rosemary Njage was called by God into full-time ministry, only seven years after she surrendered her heart to her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. As a native of Kenya, she has been catapulted into national recognition as a gospel artist and her greatest joy is to see souls come to Christ. The combination of gifts of singing and evangelism have made Rosemary a much-sought-after worship leader and preacher in dozens of churches and evangelistic (crusade) events throughout Africa.
Rosemary comes from a very humble family and is the second of six children, and has a very special place in her heart for the children of Africa. She attends a thriving church in Nairobi called Fountain Gate Church, pastored by James Mbugua, and was mentored by the famous gospel artist Angela Muliri until her home-going in September of 2007. Rosemary carries on in the footsteps of her beloved mentor, and she has passion to raise up at least fifty young gospel singers over the next few years.
She is also a gifted teacher, putting her skills to good use in encouraging the Body of Christ in the worship of our Lord, and blesses many believers through the distribution of her worship and teaching CDs and DVDs throughout Africa and the United States. Each year she holds Worship Concerts with the goal of encouraging corporate praise and worship of Jesus. These very successful concerts help many believers experience the joy of the Lord through expressive worship. Indeed, at her December 2007 concert, a 23-year-old lady stood up weeping as she shared how she had planned to commit suicide. She had been raped and infected with the HIV virus and was extremely despondent until she was overwhelmed by the power of God during worship. She came to the front of the crowd to testify that she felt released from depression and delivered from shame and guilt, and had reason to live now!
Rosemary has vision to start a worship training center to help others bring the full power of the Gospel to many regions in Africa, so that many may be saved, healed, and delivered. She has already had great impact in several countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Zimbabwe. The worshiping evangelists she trains will help change the future of not only Africa, but wherever the Lord will take them.
This gifted artist and evangelist resides in Nairobi, Kenya, and frequently travels in East Africa with The Father’s Touch Ministries as a powerful worshiper and healing evangelist.
