Founding Servant & Director

When God called Steve Trullinger into healing ministry in 1995, he was at that time an Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Steve already knew that he would be trading his secure, tenured academic position for a faith-walk of adventure, trusting in the Lord’s design for the second half of his life. His twenty-five years as an educator and researcher helped prepare him to train healing and evangelistic mission teams and to help many to understand the synergisms of spiritual gifts in the ministries of healing and evangelism.

Late in 2000, Steve founded The Father’s Touch Ministries, based in California, and has helped to launch and direct many healing teams of volunteers in North America, as well as lead over 20 short term mission teams focused on healing and evangelism in East Africa. These teams have been blessed to lead several tens of thousands to Christ and bring the Father’s healing touch to many thousands of sick in hospitals, villages, slums, and Freedom Festival crowds. One of Steve’s favorite pastimes is to help his team members get “wrecked beyond recognition!”

Having the privilege of leading a Sozo team as well, she witnessed many lives healed from the inside out.

As the Father’s Touch Partner Coordinator, Cari brings the experience of working for Focus on the Family Ministries in Public Affairs. She understands first-hand how important it is to connect with ministry partners and honor their invaluable role in furthering the Kingdom of God.

Cari and her husband Reed had the privilege of being Associate Ministers with Father’s Touch prior to launching their own “Craveheart Ministries” in 2017. Reed and Cari have three beautiful grown children and reside in Northern CA.

She spent 2 years teaching literature and writing in South Korea and then moved to Los Angeles where she joined staff for 7 years at a local church overseeing the communications and youth ministry departments. She returned 6 months later in 2016 with Engage the Crisis to work in relocation centers in Germany as an intern overseeing the media projects. When she returned home, she felt the call to leave her full-time job and begins to build her freelance writing career while also focusing on the migrant/refugee crisis. She is currently working on a project called Refugee Road Home which seeks to engage with the deeper questions of the nature of home- what is it? how do you build it, and how do you rebuild it if it’s been destroyed? She is also a staff writer for Transform Our World in San Jose, CA.

Laurie Nickisch

She has also traveled with the touch team to East Africa ever since she first got “wrecked beyond recognition” on the mission to Kenya in June 2013. Now she co-ordinates the women’s conferences and has become “mama” to many of the Gulu youth that FTM sponsors.

In 2015 she resigned from her position as Safety Manager with an agricultural firm in order to have more time to serve with Father’s Touch Ministries and the healing and intercession ministries she’s involved with in her community.

Mary Stokes

Director of Administration

Mary was born in Kansas City, MO, and was blessed to be raised in a Christian home and be part of a church family that highly valued both music and missions. At a very young age, Mary grew to have a deep appreciation for both.  She went on several youth mission trips, was part of the music program at her church, and traveled around the country singing with her family. She developed such a love for music that she received a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance and was a member of several professional choirs and singing groups, both Christian and Classical.

After graduating from college, Mary began to experience the person of the Holy Spirit and His gifts. He began to move in her prophetic gifting through prayer and intercession, missions and evangelism, inner healing ministry and the arts. In 2008, she started her own business as a professional organizer: “Organization 911.”  It has become a vehicle for ministry, having allowed her to not only help many people to organize their physical space, but also to achieve freedom in other areas of their lives.

On her visit to Southern California in June of 2018, Mary was introduced to The Father’s Touch Ministries after meeting Steve at a Coast Christian Fellowship service in Torrance, CA, and was soon invited to join the FTM team as his Director of Administration.  In July, she relocated from Kansas City, MO, to Torrance and continues her organizing business alongside her catalytic work with the FTM family.
